Request data deletion — Drill Down

Drill Down is published by Misaligned. The game has no accounts and never asks for your name, email or phone number. What it does collect is tied to two identifiers belonging to your device, and both can be deleted on request. We process requests within 30 days.

How to request deletion

  1. Open the game and tap Settings in the bottom bar.
  2. At the foot of that page is Analytics ID. Tap Copy ID, or tap Request data deletion, which opens this page with the field already filled in.
  3. Optionally add your advertising ID — Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, shown at the foot of that screen. It is what the install-attribution record is keyed to, so without it we can delete the gameplay analytics but not the attribution row.
  4. Submit the form. It opens your mail app with the details filled in; send the message and we will confirm by email once the data is gone.

What is deleted, and what is kept

DataKeyed toOn request
Gameplay analytics — session and progression events, approximate (country-level) location derived from your IP, crash reports An anonymous device identifier (Android ID), held by PostHog in the EU Deleted, along with the person record itself
Install attribution — which ad campaign an install came from, and install/app-open events Your device's advertising ID (GAID), held by AppsFlyer Deleted if you supply the advertising ID
Your saved game — depth, minerals, upgrades Nothing; it never leaves the device Not ours to delete. Clear it yourself with Android Settings → Apps → Drill Down → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling
Aggregate counts already reported to ad networks (installs per campaign, with no identifier attached) Nothing — no identifier survives in them Kept. They cannot be traced back to a device, so there is nothing in them to delete

Retention if you ask for nothing: analytics events are removed after 12 months, attribution records after 24 months, per our providers' retention settings. You can also sever attribution yourself at any time by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in the Android settings screen above.

Finding your Analytics ID

In the game, tap Settings in the bottom bar. The ID is at the foot of that page — tap Copy ID and paste it below.

An anonymous device identifier. It is not linked to your name or email, and we cannot look it up from anything except itself — which is why we need you to send it.

Needed only to delete the install-attribution record.

Used once, to confirm the deletion, and then deleted with the rest.

Request received. We will process it and confirm by email within 30 days.
